The exciting transformation of the Clubhouse space is well underway with demolition completed and internal framing and infrastructure taking shape. The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich team has given a number of hard-hat tours, providing our community with a unique behind-the-scenes look at the progress.
In January of 2024, Congressman Jim Himes and Senator Richard Blumenthal toured the facility with staff and Club alumni, Damarys Aceituno (sophomore at Loyola University Chicago, 2022 Youth of the Year), Michael Rincon (graduate student at Sacred Heart University, 2019 Youth of the Year), and Karen Maldonado (sophomore at George Washington University).
During February 2024 vacation, several middle schoolers had the chance to see the building under renovation and learn more about plans for the new space including upcoming program enhancements. Most of these students are members of our Torch Club, a group leadership and service club for boys and girls ages 11-13.
