Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich’s Board Chair, Eileen Tang, welcomed five new members to the organization’s Board of Directors. The new members are Judy Collins, Gretchen Johnson, Katerina Pergola, Monica Rodriguez, Randy Simpson, and Michael Stellwagen.
For a group of 52 Club members, good grades, commitment to character development, volunteerism, and community leadership, has led to a combined reward of $353,000 in scholarship funds, made possible through our BGCG Scholarship endowment.
At the 2023 Awards Night, a Program Staff member spoke about each individual Club member and their exceptional achievements before presenting them with a special plaque, and a certificate of special recognition from the First Selectman’s Office.
“BGCG’s after-school program is so much more than just a schedule of activities. It’s the peace of mind knowing that my son is surrounded by a group of caring staff members delivering a host of academic offerings that keep him challenged and engaged. Specifically, he never knew he had an aptitude for finance until he participated in the Money Matters program. Now he knows how to set his own financial budget and goals.”
