CAMP SIMMONS

Ages 6 - 12• Weekly June 26 - August 18, 2023

Camp Simmons is 77 acres of pure wilderness on Lake Avenue in Greenwich featuring an outdoor swimming pool, archery range, and pond for fishing and canoeing. Campers ages six through twelve can participate in special events and themed days like Holidays in July, Olympics, and weekly fishing derbies. 

Sports 
Campers can play soccer, baseball, and football. The basketball court is home for pickup games as well as organized classes.  

Swimming 
Swimming in the outdoor pool is one of the most popular activities at Camp Simmons. Campers have the opportunity to receive swim lessons and enjoy leisurely swimming with friends. 


2023 THEME WEEKS 
Every week is special at the Clubhouse with themed days.

Week 1 (June 26-30) – Summer Camp Blast-off!
Learn the Camp Simmons Song. Red-White & Blue Day and Snow Cone Social. Have fun in the sun as we say, “hello to fun!”

Week 2 (July 3-7 - No Camp on July 4) – Let’s Be Creative: Build it, Paint it, Make it!
Build a fort in tepee town, paint the Big House wall, tie dye a shirt with your friends, face painting, and more. Get creative … get dirty!

Week 3 (July 10-14)– Backyard Basics
Play kickball, wiffle ball, dodge ball, wall ball, 4-square, and more. Play ball and then jump in the pool!

Week 4 (July 17-21) – BE GREAT
This week is all about you, all about me, all about our community! Kindness, diversity, food drive and of course our Holiday in July Celebration with a special visitor!

Week 5 (July 24-28) – Keep the Traditions Alive
Help us as we celebrate classic special events: funny hat day, World Cup Soccer Day, canoe races, popsicle day, and more!

Week 6 (July 31-August 4) – Triple Play Week
Healthy eating, physical activity and relationship building are addressed in healthy habits, daily challenges and social recreation. Campers participate in Field Day, Minute to Win It games, game room tournaments, and more.

Week 7 (August 7-11) - Be a Friend Week
Let’s spread friendship! Campers come together to celebrate friendship, care, empathy, and leadership. Don’t forget about “Kind Words” poster day, and superhero day!

Week 8 (August 14-18) – Get Wet!
Races in the pool, water slide, super soakers, water fun, water balloons and more!
