23rd Annual Thanksgiving Feast

Warmth, laughter, and the scent of a classic Thanksgiving meal filled the new gymnasium at the Rebecca S. Breed Clubhouse on Tuesday, November 25, as more than 350 Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich members came together for the Club’s 23rd Annual Thanksgiving Feast. This year’s celebration held special meaning as it marked the first time the Club community could gather at th eClubhouse for this tradition since the facility’s two-year renovation.

Guests enjoyed a festive meal prepared by On The Marc Events and served by an enthusiastic team of volunteers, including board members, local first responders, community partners, and school administrators. Representative Jim Himes welcomed the youth, staff, and volunteers before donning an apron and serving heaping scoops of mashed potatoes. “Had a great time serving mashed potatoes at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich’s annual Thanksgiving Feast,” he shared. “It was heartwarming to see the BGCG students so excited to give thanks after spending the year together in extracurricular programs.”

The outpouring of support from volunteers underscored the strong community bonds that define Greenwich and enrich the lives of young people across the town.

“This feast remains one of our most treasured traditions,” said Don Palmer, Vice President of Programs & Youth Development. “It’s a moment for our members to come together like family and feel the care of this community. The kids’ joy as they share a holiday meal makes all the effort worthwhile.”

The celebration was made possible through the generosity of sponsors who believe deeply in the Club’s mission: Sageview Capital, On The Marc, Axiom Investors, Michael Creamer, The Evergreen 21 Group at Morgan Stanley, The Hilton Family, Stew Leonard’s, and Titan Advisors.

“We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors and volunteers for making this special night possible,” said Cristina Vittoria, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich. “This feast is so much more than a holiday dinner. It is a moment of connection, comfort, and celebration for our members. Seeing the community rally around our kids is truly inspiring.”

As the holiday season begins, the Thanksgiving Feast offered a meaningful reminder of the Club’s unwavering commitment to providing a safe and welcoming space for Greenwich youth. With heartfelt support from volunteers and sponsors, this year’s gathering was a joyful success that brought the spirit of gratitude to life for everyone in attendance.
