Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich was honored to welcome Congressman Jim Himes for a special tour of the newly expanded and renovated Rebecca S. Breed Clubhouse in mid-September. Leading the visit was Club alumna Dani Hernandez, who shared her excitement about showing the Congressman the transformative new spaces.
“It was such an honor to welcome Congressman Himes back to the Club and to walk him through the new building,” said Dani Hernandez. “As an alum, I know firsthand how much the Club means to young people in Greenwich, and it was wonderful to share how this new chapter will impact future generations.”
During his visit, Congressman Himes met with staff and learned more about how the new facility will expand opportunities for children and teens across the community.
Cristina Vittoria, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, emphasized the significance of the moment. “The work we do is only possible because of the community that stands behind us,” said Vittoria. “Congressman Himes has always been a strong advocate for youth, and this new building represents a lasting investment in ensuring every child has a safe place to learn, grow, and thrive.”
The Rebecca S. Breed Clubhouse expansion and renovation marks a new era for the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, providing modern spaces and resources to better serve the young people who call the Club their second home each year.
