Michele Smith is our Event Manager. She earned a B.S. in Finance and underwrote Management Liability Insurance contracts for Fortune 500 companies while living in NYC for 10 years. After moving to Greenwich, she volunteered at various non-profit organizations including the Bruce Museum, Christ Church Nursery School, Greenwich Country Day School, Greenwich Botanical Center, where she served as President of the Board of Directors, and Hortulus where she currently serves as Corresponding Secretary as well as Webmaster. Michele has also volunteered as the parent coordinator of a local summer camp and sailing program for over 15 years. She was awarded the Spirit of Greenwich Award by YWCA of Greenwich in 2012 for her dedication to local non-profits. Michele joined BGCG in January 2019 and very much enjoys planning events and raising money for the organization. She admires her colleagues dedication and commitment to serving the children in the community who need us most. Michele has lived in Greenwich for 20 years and is the mom of two teenage boys.
